What is Spiritual Warfare?

"Thus it is said that one who knows the enemy and knows himself will not be endangered in a hundred engagements. One who does not know the enemy but knows himself will sometimes be victorious, and sometimes meet with defeat. One who knows neither the enemy nor himself will invariably be defeated in every engagement..." - Sun-Tzu, The Art of War. There is an invisible spiritual realm where a battle is taking place beyond our ability to see with our natural eyes. It is from here where the demonic attacks the lives of both Christians and non-Christians. As a Christian, keep in mind that we do not fight people. It takes more Godly patience and insight to see beyond the natural and understand that there is a backdrop of forces behind the scenes exhibiting an effect in the realm where we do see. So for Christians to get into shouting matches with non-Christians is highly unnecessary! I've been in situations where I've seen homosexuals and lesbians ridiculing Christians on their way to a 6,000 people-large prayer convention. They were parading half-naked to spite (and spit at) the Christians, and the Christians were shouting back, yelling things like "You will burn in hell" or "This is an abomination of the Lord," etc. The Bible says in Proverbs 15:1, "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." Therefore, the battle must be fought on our knees in prayer, before the victory of God is manifest in people!
