  Whose Interpretation is Correct?
What's the Verdict? Many people debate on which denomination is correct, and whose interpretation is more correct than others. The answer may not lie in correctness as much as it lies in where our hearts really are. The Christian faith and its denominations are like diamonds. Each diamond has many facets, each facet reflecting a different specific light off of the visual spectrum (like the rainbow). But all the facets comprise one diamond.

With each denomination is an inherent strength. However, with pride, thinking that this inherent strength is 100% of all the truth that is there, then such a denomination would have a massive weakness.

Unity works when you build upon each other's strengths and make up for each other's weaknesses. It is only in unity where we can bring all our facets together to form the complete understanding. Some denominations or churches may have more facets in one area than other churches. Other churches may not have any facets at all in a specific area, but danger comes when any one group claims they have facets of revelation (when they actually do not), and further damage occurs when you claim to be the finality of authority over a specific area when, in truth, you only have a fraction.

Fractions can sometimes cause factions.

Whose interpretation is right? The answer is: nobody's interpretation is right. If we truly and carefully read scripture, it shows us that true understanding of the scripture comes by revelation via enlightenment of our understanding by illumination of the scriptures by the Holy Spirit. There are certain keys placed throughout the Bible that actually require no interpretation at all - they are in plain speech. It is in obeying the plain speech that the not-so-plain becomes revealed.

When debating which doctrine is right or wrong, consider it's strategic value in God's eyes in light of these Last Days. Is the doctrine merely for tradition's sake, or is there redemptive power? Does the doctrine create a zeal and passion for God's presence and the mighty works of His hand, or does it create complacency in your heart? Time is short. Satan wants the church powerless. Our bickering must come to an end.

What it boils down to is Tradition vs. Revelation Truth. Revelation truth will always be on the cutting edge. There will always be great costs and great hardships, pain and sacrifice in following Jesus Christ in this dimension. You may lose friends, your family, your own life. And you may not have a reward on this side of life, save for your own cross to carry.

Tradition is very comfortable to follow. Very easy to follow. Just a bunch of rituals or dogma that doesn't really challenge you - just give you a mere peaceful feeling in your heart and the belief in your own mind you're doing the right thing.

Was Jesus a cutting-edge person, or a traditionalist? He was a cutting-edge person. It cost Him everything, but He brought about so great a salvation for us, being hammered to the Cross.

The question now is this: if we pledged our lives to follow Jesus, do we follow Him on the cutting edge, or do we resort to the easier and more comfortable and complacent path of tradition?

We must all decide for ourselves. Our destiny depends on it.
