Questions about the Bible How do you know the Bible is true? The Bible is unique among the world's religious books in that it dares predict future events in great detail. Other religious writings, such as the Koran or the Veda, do not contain detailed, specific prophecies. The reason for this is that it is impossible to consistently prophecy specific future events with real accuracy unless you are God. It is only when we come to examine the Bible that we find hundreds of detailed prophecies concerning various nations, events, and individuals covering thousands of years. Didn't men write the Bible? The Bible is unique among the world's religious books in that it dares predict future events in great detail. The reason for this is that it is impossible to consistently prophecy specific future events with real accuracy unless you are God. Isn't the Bible full of errors? Other than a minute mistake here and there regarding the name of a small town or city, the bulk of the Bible's text as we know it today is accurate and true to the meaning of the original Greek, Hebrew and Aramaic texts of the original manuscripts from which the Bible was translated.

Isn't the Bible a book of myths? Actually, no. There are no mythical figures or the like in the Bible. The Bible is a record of selected historical events, and is heralded by many historians and archaeologists.

Questions about Faith Isn't Christianity blind faith? No it isn't! That's probably a popular misconception. Blind faith is when you base all your hopes, dreams, aspirations and beliefs in something you have no evidence of - something you've not seen, felt, touched or know if it's there! Rather, the Bible has proven itself as being divinely inspired by God because of accurate fulfilment of detailed prophecies throughout the ages. It speaks of Jesus Christ who died on the Cross for our sins and who rose from the dead to give us everlasting life. This, true, does require faith, but not blind faith. When you have faith in God, He becomes a powerful reality in your life - not a figment of your imagination.

How can you put faith in something you haven't seen? Do you drive? When you're driving really fast along a road and you see another car coming in your direction on the other side of the road, what's keeping him from steering his way across the double-yellow lines and slamming right into your car?

Aren't you having faith in that driver to say on his side of the road?

Here, have a seat. See? You sat down, knowing from previous experience that chairs have, in general, supported your weight as you've sat down. But not every chair is alike, and how did you know that this chair wasn't going to give way under you? You sat down, having faith that this chair was going to support your weight.

In a similar way, I placed my faith in Jesus Christ, and as a result, He's brought an incredible change in my life. And now I can progressively place my faith in Him because He has proven Himself to be faithful to me as I continually trust Him in all aspects of my life.
