Controversial Subjects

There are many controversial topic in the Bible. Believe it or not, the differing viewpoints and opposite extremes are actually reconcilable! Many problems occur from either insufficient theological or historical training in interpreting scriptures or by denominational doctrinal slants that have been handed down through the decades. There are also issues that the Bible seems silent about. But further careful study can bring some enlightening revelation! Ultimately, God's revelation comes not to the head, but to the heart first - and then the head! Proverbs 25:2 says, "It is the glory of God to conceal a thing: but the honour of kings is to search out a matter." Would you like a king's honor? So don't conclude so quickly that the Bible is flawed, or that Christianity is just mythology. If you take a step back and become proactively willing to see the big picture - and also other elements you had not yet seen, you will soon see God's wisdom in these controverial topics. You owe it to yourself! "To thine own self be true!"
