The producer of the Bond films chose Pierce ("Born to be Bond") Brosnan
over Adrian ("Looking like a young Connery") Paul. Now we have films like
Goldeneye and Tomorrow Never Dies - and even a video game -
that's based on Brosnan, that could have been Adrian Paul. Somehow
I don't think Adrian has the "bond voice". I mean, think about it. "Oy'm
Dunkin' MacLoud of the Clan MacLoud. Oy'm Dunkin' donuts!" in that goofy
deep voice of his.
But can Adrian Paul look the part? You bet. That cool hair. That cool
tux. That cool gun - no, ladies, the gun he's holding, not the one
you can't see! Only this Bond wears longcoats to conceal his ivory-hilted
dragon katana!
Word has it that Adrian Paul was very nearly chosen over Pierce Brosnan for the Bond role. He has been likened to a young Sean Connery, much to Adrian's great pleasure!
